App-based means delivering with an app for more than one restaurant. Dominos delivery, for example, is not app-based; Deliveroo and UberEATS are. Thuisbezorgd is also app-based.
Boost is when there is a bonus for each delivery made due to bad weather or other circumstances that result in fewer couriers being available to work. The term originates from the UberEATS app.
Quest is a series of bonus levels that increase progressively, usually within a part of the day. For example, in an evening session on UberEATS, you can earn an extra €8 for the first 5 orders between 17:00 and 20:59, and then the next bonus level opens. After that, you can earn an extra €5 for the next 2 orders, another €5 for the following orders, and then €12 for the last 3 orders, for example. At least, if you complete it within the evening session hours.
Rider is used for couriers who can choose their own mode of transport and can go online and offline with an app and earn bonuses indicated through an app. Within the app, riders can see how much they earn, how much they have worked, and when they want to work.
The couriers of Deliveroo are a good example of what rider means. Deliveroo couriers can work very efficiently thanks to the rider app and therefore can earn a lot of money in a short time.
The app used by Deliveroo couriers is called Rider. The app used by UberEATS couriers is called Driver.
